Workers United, the union responsible for implementing the attack on Starbucks, has launched a new campaign against Tesla in Buffalo, NY, the epicenter of the Starbucks organizing effort.
The SEIU affiliate set up a group known as Tesla Workers United through which to run the campaign. As is often the case, Workers United has duped the employees into focusing on issues that are not mandatory subjects of collective bargaining, but instead focus on elements of company culture (sustainability, progressive environment, “serve as the conscience of the organization”, deepening trust & respect).
It is a mystery how a union can be so adept at taking away a group of employees direct relationship with their employer yet framing it as building a “collaborative environment.”
