Oregon Version of Employee Free Choice Act

by | Aug 5, 2008 | Employee Free Choice Act

An article on a law firm blog today provides a comparison to a current Oregon law and the card check bill (Employee Free Choice Act) being pushed by the Democrat/Union coalition. As much as they bluster about the technicality that the EFCA “doesn’t eliminate the option of a secret ballot,” the article demonstrates, even with more stringent safeguards than currently exist in the EFCA, secret ballots will be a thing of the past.

“Employees described verbal confrontations with the union during visits to employees’ homes and workplaces. Employees who petitioned for an election have also reported hostile and retaliatory treatment from union representatives and pro-union co-workers, who were aware of the petitioners’ identities because the process was not secret.”

Is this what we want in America?
