Don’t Be Fooled a “Cloture Vote” Passes EFCA

by | Dec 13, 2009 | Employee Free Choice Act

Early next year congress will likely address the much anticipated “Employee Free Choice Act” why has it taken so long; simple they didn’t have the votes last year.  Remember the Minnesota Senate seat was unfilled for more than eight month’s.  Further Senator’s Bird (D-WV) and Senator Kennedy (D-MA) were ill and unavailable.  Why now?   Again, simple, 2010 is an election year and the Democrats could lose seats.  The stage has been set with the Healthcare “Cloture Vote” as the Democrats are working hard to convince America that “Cloture” only allows for debate.  Sixty gets “Cloture” all they need is a majority to pass.  In the event of a 50-50 tie anyone want to guess how Vice President Biden will vote. Here is a copy of the SEIU’s talking points for EFCA
