This is a nice piece of video that focuses on the election process revised under the so-called Employee Free Choice Act, or should I say the loss of the election process created under the EFCA. One senator misrepresents the process itself, and McGovern is heard defending the secret ballot, while one of the authors of the EFCA is quoted from a letter to the Mexican government defending the secret ballot!
Unfortunately, what is still flying low on the radar is the most damaging impact of the Employee “No Choice” Act: forced arbitration. What businessman in America would want a contract imposed upon them by a government official who has no experience in business, no experience in their industry, and no experience writing employment and benefits contracts? Do American citizens really think that America could ever retain it’s leadership in business and innovation if companies large and small are operated on the basis of such contracts?
It gives me nightmares…
