The battle over the Employee Free Choice Act is beginning to heat up as pro-democracy groups are beginning to surface, challenging Big Labor and their $300 Million campaign spending spree designed to take secret ballot elections out of the unionizing process. One such group, the Employee Freedom Action Committee, is taking the fight to the airwaves with radio and TV spots, along with newspaper ads, exposing candidates who support the anti-democratic legislation and promoting those who oppose it.
According to Rick Berman, head of the Employee Freedom Action Committee, they will spend up to $30 million focusing on senators and candidates in several
states including Al Franken (MN), Jeff Merkley (OR), Ronnie Musgrove
(MS), Mark Udall (CO), Jeanne Shaheen (NH) and others. This Wall Street Journal article has more on their efforts. For further information, check out www.EmployeeFreedom.org.
