Nurses at St. Vincent Hospital in Massachusetts have been on strike since March 8. This comes after 18 months of negotiations. Striking nurses say they will continue to strike until a contract has been reached. At Maine Medical Center, the largest hospital in the state, nurses are preparing for their first union vote in over twenty years. If workers vote to organize, the Maine State Nurses Association would gain 1,900 new union members.
