Wilson Explains Why Neutrality Agreements Harm Employee Choice

by | Oct 19, 2020 | Media

In a recent article by the Society for Human Resource Management, Phil Wilson was asked to comment on a memo by National Labor Relations Board Chairman Peter Robb addressing neutrality agreements, which we’ve covered in prior posts. In helping to explain Robb’s position, Wilson clarified that with neutrality agreements, employees are “likely to believe that because the company is offering this help to the union that they might be in trouble if they don’t support the union. This does not create an environment where employees can freely choose whether or not they wish to be represented.”
