Lawmakers to Head Off Boeing Decision?

by | May 10, 2011 | News

Sens. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), and Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) are working on legislation in response to the recent NLRB complaint against Boeing. That legislation would amend the NLRA to guarantee an employer’s right to relocate work to Right to Work states.  The bill will likely have bipartisan support as ten Democrats in the Senate represent RtW states. “We’ve got to pass this bill to stop this administration from bullying American workers,” DeMint said in an email to Investor’s Business Daily. “Businesses have the right to invest in any state in America and states shouldn’t be penalized for protecting the rights of their citizens not to be forced to pay union dues.”
