Becker Promises: I Will Be “Practical”

Becker finally got a hearing on his nomination to be one of three new NLRB members yesterday. When asked about his extremist views on the Board’s ability to get rid of union elections through regulatory action he dismissed them as the “views of a scholar” and instead will issue decisions that have “practical, concrete and important consequences,” and that he “will have a duty to implement the intent of Congress.”
